BookPOS Betting Arbitrage & Value

BookPOS Betting Arbitrage & Value is a football odds comparison tool that compares bookmaker prices to identify betting arbitrage opportunities and individual prices that are unusually high compared with the wider market. The same BookPOS report also includes fixture filtering, bookmaker comparison, market detail and a stake calculator for arbitrage opportunities.

The video below uses the same BookPOS arbitrage workflow to explain how bookmaker odds are compared, how implied probability is calculated and how a theoretical arbitrage return is identified.

What Does BookPOS Betting Arbitrage & Value Do?

BookPOS continuously compares current football prices from multiple bookmakers and turns that data into two different views: complete-market arbitrage opportunities and individual bookmaker prices that stand out against the market average.

Arbitrage Finder

Find Complete-Market Arbitrage

BookPOS selects the best available bookmaker price for every possible outcome in the same market. It converts those prices into implied probabilities and highlights markets where the combined total falls below 100%.

Best Value Finder

Find Prices Above the Market Average

The Value view evaluates one bookmaker price at a time against the same selection at other bookmakers. It ranks positive differences so users can quickly see where a bookmaker is offering a price above the comparison-market average.

How Does BookPOS Betting Arbitrage Work?

Betting arbitrage is based on comparing the odds available from multiple bookmakers for all mutually exclusive outcomes in the same betting market. Instead of accepting every price from one sportsbook, an arbitrage finder looks for the best available price for each individual outcome.

Decimal odds can be converted into implied probability using 1 divided by the odds. The implied probabilities of all possible outcomes are then added together. If that total falls below 100%, the combination represents a theoretical positive-return situation.

The BookPOS sports betting arbitrage report automates that comparison using API-connected football event and bookmaker odds data, then ranks markets from the lowest combined probability to the highest.

How Our Sports Betting Arbitrage Finder Works

The report compares current football betting prices across multiple bookmakers and highlights where the strongest value appears.

1. Upcoming Football Fixtures

Upcoming fixtures from supported competitions are collected before kickoff so sportsbook markets can be compared while prices are still available.

2. Odds From Multiple Bookmakers

The system collects sportsbook prices from available bookmakers rather than restricting the calculation to one betting company. Each bookmaker remains attached to the price it supplied.

3. Best Price for Every Outcome

For each complete betting market, the report selects the best price available for every possible result. A three-way football match-winner market can therefore use one bookmaker for the home win, another for the draw and another for the away win.

4. Combined Implied Probability

Each selected price is converted into an implied probability. Those probabilities are added together to show the overall percentage for the market. Lower percentages indicate stronger value across the combined bookmaker prices.

5. Positive Theoretical ROI

When the combined implied probability falls below 100%, the displayed bookmaker prices represent a theoretical positive ROI opportunity if all required prices are still available when the bets are placed.

6. Collection Time

Betting odds can move quickly. The report keeps the collection time associated with the selected prices so viewers can see when the calculated opportunity was observed.

BookPOS Best Value

How Does the BookPOS Value Finder Work?

Value and arbitrage answer different questions. Arbitrage looks at every outcome in a market together. Value asks whether one bookmaker is offering an unusually high price for one exact selection.

Choose a Bookmaker

Use All Bookmakers to find the strongest current price, or select a specific bookmaker to see where its prices stand above the wider market.

Choose a Fixture

Review all upcoming supported fixtures or narrow the list to a single football match. Bookmaker and fixture filters can be combined.

Compare With the Market

BookPOS matches the same fixture, market, line and selection, excludes the bookmaker being evaluated and compares its odds with the average from the other bookmakers.

How the Value Percentage Is Calculated

The displayed Value percentage is calculated as:

((Selected Odds ÷ Average Other Bookmaker Odds) - 1) × 100

For example, odds of 2.40 compared with an average of 2.00 are shown as +20.00% Value. This describes the difference from the comparison market average; it is not a guaranteed 20% profit.

Betting Arbitrage Calculator: How Are Stakes Split?

Finding the right odds is only part of the process. The next step is deciding how much of the total stake should be placed on each possible outcome.

The report includes a betting arbitrage calculator. Enter the total amount you are considering staking and the calculator apportions that amount between the outcomes in proportion to their implied probabilities.

For example, a total stake of $100 on a three-outcome football market may be divided into three different stake amounts. Each stake is calculated against the selected bookmaker's odds so that the expected return is as even as possible regardless of which outcome wins.

The calculator then displays the bookmaker, odds, suggested stake, return and theoretical profit or loss for every outcome, together with the overall theoretical ROI.

Can Betting Arbitrage Work With Three Outcomes?

Yes. Betting arbitrage is not limited to markets with two outcomes. The important requirement is that every possible mutually exclusive result in the market is covered.

A football match-winner market has three outcomes: home win, draw and away win. The calculation simply uses the best available price for all three results and adds the three implied probabilities together.

Two-way markets such as both teams to score or over/under can be simpler to calculate, but the same principle applies. Complete coverage of the market matters more than the number of outcomes.

What Does the BookPOS Live Report Show?

The report is designed to show both the strongest opportunities and the wider sportsbook market around them.

Best Opportunities First

Markets are ordered by combined implied probability, placing the strongest bookmaker combinations at the top of the report.

Common Questions About Betting Arbitrage

Is betting arbitrage legal?

Betting laws vary by country and jurisdiction. Arbitrage is a method of comparing and combining betting prices, but bettors still need to comply with the gambling laws that apply where they are located and with the terms of the sportsbooks they use.

Is arbitrage betting actually profitable?

A true arbitrage calculation can show a theoretical positive return when the combined implied probability is below 100%. Actual results still depend on all quoted prices being available, bets being accepted at the required stakes and the calculations being executed correctly.

How does arbitrage work in betting?

The best bookmaker price is found for every possible result in the same market. Each price is converted into implied probability and the probabilities are added together. If the total is below 100%, stakes can be divided across the outcomes to produce a theoretical positive return.

Is arbitrage betting still possible?

Opportunities can still appear because different sportsbooks do not always move their odds at the same time or by the same amount. These price differences may be short-lived, so the age of the collected odds is an important part of evaluating any opportunity.

What is a betting arbitrage finder?

A betting arbitrage finder is software that compares bookmaker odds across complete markets and identifies combinations where the total implied probability is unusually low or below 100%.

What is the difference between an arbitrage finder and an arbitrage calculator?

The finder searches for useful combinations of bookmaker prices. The calculator takes those selected odds and determines how a proposed total stake should be divided between the outcomes.
